Rome - Tevere

Rome   is  a beautiful artwork realized by  Jan Peter Verdussen  i n 1741.

In good condition except for some pencil marks and traces of sealing wax on the back.and some diffused foxings.

Hand-signed and dated on the lower left and right margin.

passepartout included ( 34 x 49 cm).

The artwork represents the scenery of the roman landscape on the Tevere river in pencil and watercolor on brown paper. The artwork is depicted skillfully through confident and soft strokes with well-balanced composition.

Jan Peeter Verdussen  (1700 - 1763) was a Flemish painter, draftsman and printmaker. He is known mainly for his battle scenes, incidents of camp life and equestrian paintings.
