Homage to Matisse, Magritte, and Ernst

This Acrylic on Dry Wall homage to Matisse, Magritte, and Ernst was a process emerging from an abstract monochromatic, stone-like background to a shaded tapestry where a reclining, Matisse-like, figure emerged and was transformed into a surrealistic presentation. it is a mixed-style statement of development and passage through time. The elements that make-up this composition are weaved together in layers to become surreal.

A reclining figure is embedded in a stone-like background and layered on it are golden, copper, and silver panels. On top of the golden panel that covers the models torso a stone-like mask is placed in a surrealistic Ernst-like manner.

The painting is done on a Dry Wall panel to allow rapid absorption of the acrylic and allowing multiple layers to construct its unique look.
