With fresh impression and vivid colors, an incredible draftsmanship this print is in very good condition, except for some minor defects like rips o the edges.

Louis-René Berge was a French engraver, member of the Academy of Fine Arts.
Self-taught, he began to engrave in 1960 and his first works were noticed by Jacques Villon and Pierre Guastalla. He devoted himself definitively to engraving with a chisel around 1975 and then exhibited in salons (Salon d'automne, Réalités nouvelles, etc.), at Biren and Michèle Broutta galleries, and participated in the activities of engraving companies.
In 2005, Louis-René Berge was elected to the Academy of Fine Arts in the chair engraving section number III. Defender of the art of printmaking - in particular at the Academy, Louis-René Berge was co-founder in 2004 of Manifestampe, an association seeking to federate the various companies interested in the subject.
