Soul is an original artwork realized by Jean Cocteau between the 1920s and the 1930s.

Original title: "Anime".

Pastel and watercolor on cardboard. 

This artwork has been shown at the Exposition Universeille of Paris in the 1900. From the Pecci Blunt collection, Italy. The original stamp of the Pecci Blunt collection is present on the back of the artwork. 

On the back, the signature of Jean Cocteau is also present in pencil with a star.

Good conditions. 

The french artist Jean Cocteau realizes this drawing with a mixed technique; the rapidity of the sign and the energy that comes from the elements of the composition make this work a clear example of Cocteau’s expressive power.
