Very beautiful artwork, a study for a glass-window realized by the French artist Louis Balmer. The colors are very bright and lively and the figure of Madonna is well-balanced. The stroke is fresh and refined.

Louis Balmet (Grenoble, 1876 – Grenoble, 1957) was a glass master, who worked until 1936. He was a member of the French committee of expositions. He attended the Universal Exposition of 1906 and the International Exposition of 1908.
