Beautiful satiric illustration by the French draftsman Paul Gavarni (alias Guillaume Sulpice Chevalier , 1804-1866). Plate 46 , from the series of 50 lithographs, Les enfans terribles , Bauger and C.ie, Paris . Numbered on plate back to front on lower-left corner.

With the amusing printed capture on lower margin: "Décidément., mon cher ami, vous n'êtes pas de force au piquet: je vous enforce.// Oui! mais comme papa vous a bien enfoncé aussi, pas vrai pére? dans l'affaire des suifs!".

In very good condition, with some light stains on margins. Including passepartput, dim: cm 49 x 34.
