Islamic Verses in Calligraphy style is a wonderful original manuscript. One page, one-sided, in Arabic, the original sheet (cm 17 x 11) is in excellent condition and under plexiglass and framed in an ebony wooden frame (cm 34.5 x 2.3 x 28.5).
This precious manuscript reports Islamic sacred verses in an ancient calligraphy style, i n black and red ink.
All red ink words belong to “ Allah ” and “Muhammad”. The calligrapher emphases these two words to separate them from other parts of the script and show the importance of them to the reader.
The smaller script of the sheet starts from the top of the page and delicately turns the words in the end of the sheet and makes them on the contrary, turning from down to up, in counterclockwise.
In the main part -bigger words- are written peace upon Muhammad , there are also words referring to doomsday , “ Yom Al-Ghiyamat ”, which is repeated more times in the script. While the smaller script around the bigger one is hard to read.
In this unique manuscript, the skilled calligrapher made an impressive art with choosing just to write “ Allah” and “Muhammad” in red ink. The beauty and uniqueness regard to God’s name, Prophet name and intention of the calligrapher to turning of the script from the down to the up and make a circle as a symbol of unity .
