I mosaici di Monreale  by Ernst Kitzinger is the first volume of three monographs dedicated to the Cathedral and the monastic complex of Monreale, in particular the wonderful mosaics which adorn it. The mosaics are here showed for the first time in color plates reproduced with photographic methods. 
Translation from English by Fanny Bonajuto. Italian edition published under the direction of Bruno Caruso and Ermanno Gagliardo. Color photographs by Enzo Sellerio with the collaboration of Giovanni Mannino. 

Limited edition:  700 hand-numbered specimens .

Including 102 full-page color plates, 5 maps folded out of text and various b/w and color illustrations.
Hardcover with title in gold visibly damaged by aging and must signs; dust jacket reproducing the  Creation of the stars   on the major nave of Monreale.

In-4º, in Italian, pp. 132, cm 36 x 4.5 x 29, 1960.

Inside good conditions, except for a usual yellowing of the paper and foxing traces.
