The artwork represents an abstract composition: abstract shapes appear on a light background. It pays homage to an important Italian artist of the XX century: Afro Basaldella (1912 - 1976), also called Afro . Together with Alberto Burri and Lucio Fontana, he was an important exponent of Informal Painting in Italy, after World War II, and a member of the Scuola Romana. Lo Fermo's work is a re-elaboration of the historical Informal Italian painting in a contemporary and personal way.
