The print is from the portfolio  Le Café   Concert , a suite of lithographs on  japon  paper by Lautrec and Henri-Gabriel Ibels, printed by Edward Ancourt & Cie and published in 1893 by l'Estampe Originale.

In this portfolio, working with the artist Henri-Gabriel Ibels and the writer Georges Montorgueil, Lautrec created an ode to the café-concert. Montorgueil’s essay argued that café-concerts are places for people from all walks of life to relax and communicate. Lautrec’s images capture a cross-section of people involved in the Parisian nightlife.

This print represents  a portrait of Jeanne Bloch, known also as Block, a French singer and actress.

She is also known as Mademoiselle or Madame Block. She was called "the colossal singer" except that, of a colossus, she had, rather small, only the waist.
