The Flowered Garden is an original Contemporary artwork realized in 1971 by Ernesto Treccani (Milan, August 26, 1920 - Milan, November 27, 2009). Treccani was an Italian painter. Founder and director, at the age of 18, of the magazine "Corrente", suppressed in June 1940 at the outbreak of the war, he exhibited his first works at the Bottega di Corrente with his friends Birolli, Guttuso, Migneco, Sassu and, later, with Cassinari and Morlotti at the Galleria della Spiga and Corrente. The first personal exhibition, set up at the Il Milione gallery in Milan, dates back to 1949. In 1963 a work of his was exhibited at the Contemporary Italian Paintings exhibition, set up in some Australian cities. In 1978 he created the Corrente Foundation, a center for cultural initiatives, exhibitions, debates in the various fields of culture and art, as well as a center for collecting and studying documents relating to the period between the birth of the movement and the years of Realism.
