Apricity

Apricity is a mixed media painting born at the beginning of 2023 en plein air, while staying in the mountains among snow, cold air and sometimes the Sun.

There is a word in English to describe the warmth of the Sun in winter.

Apparently it's an old word that's fallen out of usage but I think we should revive it.

Apricity is the synesthetic vision of this feeling, an image born from touch.

Synesthesia is a rare neural cross-wiring of the senses, and people who are affected by it can see colors, patterns, and textures when they hear sound and music, when they smell a perfume and when they taste or touch something, and this is from this artwork is born.
