The belgian illustrator, painter and sculptor, Jean-Michel Folon work with many materials and many fields: watercolor, printmaking, sculpture, paintings. His works were exhibited at the Centre of Fine Arts, Brussels (1975), Lefebre Gallery in new York , Alice Pauli Gallery in Lausanne (1979), and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (1990).

The artist founded his own museum, the Fondation Folon (2000), located in La Hulpem, Belgium.
