Beautiful etching depicting the Italian village Radicofani, the small native village where Ghino di Tacco has lived. He was an Italian brigand. Having taken refuge in Radicofani (SI), a fortress on the Via Cassia, on the border between the Republic of Siena and the Papal States, Ghino continued his career as a bandit, but in the form of a "gentleman", always leaving something to live to the unfortunate. The character is mentioned both by Boccaccio in the Decameron and by Dante in the Divine Comedy. Bettino Craxi signed his articles and his editorials of political analysis under the pseudonym "Ghino di Tacco".
