Mushae

Mushae is an original modern artwork realized by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798 – 1861) in the half of the 19th Century.

Ichigawa Danjuro VIII in the role of the young Oniwaka Maru holds a nanigata blade, keeping his muscular opponent with one foot on the ground.
