Tsukuda Sumiyoshi no yashiro  ( Sumiyoshi Shrine on Tsukuda Island ) is the original title of this superb ten colour woodblock print on paper, by the Japanese master,  Utagawa Hiroshige II ( Shigenobu), (Japan 1797-1858).

This plate is from the  Edo Meisho  series  (“Famous Places in Edo ), dated  1853

Property from a Wuerttemberg private collection, assembled between the 1950s and 2000 –

Excellent condition, with usual aging signs (the missing lower left corner, some yellowings and abrsions of the paper). Despite of this imperceptible defects, this specimen is completely readable and intact. Unframed
