The Duce and the Italian farmers

The Duce and the Italian farmers is an original photograph realized in 1937 and printed by Agence Trampus. The original hallmark and the original piece of paper with the title, the description and the date on the back is glued. The artwork is in good conditions, a small fold on the lower right is present.

The photo represents the Duce that gives the key of a new house to the farmers of Aprilia after the reclamation of the swamps in the Pontina area.

On the back there is the original hallmark of the Agence Trampus and the description of the photo:
"Le Duce remet à una famille de paysans la clef de la maison d'ont ils deviennent proprietaires dans le nouveau centre rural d'Aprilia qui vient d'être construit sur l'emplacement des anciens marais pontins.- 500 lots de terrains avec maison ont été ainsi distribués à des familles d'anciens combattants, et porteront le nom de Garibaldi en souvenir d'Ezio Garibaldi qui fut le premier à tirer parti del marais à cet endroit.
