Velickovic Vladimir. - Serbian architect, painter and graphic designer (b. Belgrade 1935), he has lived in Paris since 1966. After completing his architectural studies, he studied in Zagreb (1962-63) with K. Hegedušic. From 1983 to 2000 he taught at the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Trained in contact with the group of fantastic painters from Belgrade, V. turned to the search for a new realism in which the brutality, the violence, the threat of the present world is highlighted by the contrast of the image, often taken from a frame or from a photograph, which blocks an event (be it the birth of a child, the run of a greyhound, the jump of an obstacle) in its climax, with the system of coordinates, figures, time and time measurements space, of color diagrams, which refer to it.
