Woman with Flowery Hairstyle

Woman with Flowery Hairstyle is a small beautiful drypoint realized by the French painter, illustrator, and writer Amandine Doré in the second half of the 20 th century.

This print belongs to a series of 20. At the bottom, outside the matrix, there is the inscription in pencil “ Du f Au 8/20 ”. The state of preservation is very good, although the paper has some tiny stains on the lower center and on the higher right, owing to presumably the matrix of the print.

Amandine Doré (Paris, 1912-2011) is one of the pseudonyms of Odette Amandine Bonne , also known as “Aurèa” or “Madame”, according to the type of subject matter of her artworks.

Amandine was a French painter, illustrator, and writer. Her production varied from erotic to travel illustrations. With her fascinating drawings, she illustrated the classics of erotic literature, books of poetry, magazines, and most of her husband’s books (the Belgian author T’Serstevens , with whom she often travelled).
