Abstract  is an oil-on-paper artwork realized by the Greek-Italian contemporary artist  Jannis Kounellis  (Piraeus, 1936 - Rome, 2017), the major exponent of the Italian art movement Arte Povera, in the XX century.

This original painting comes with a wooden frame.

This amazing artwork represents an abstract black and white composition. It consists of only thick black brushtrokes intertwining on top of the white background of the paper. The style of the brushstrokes recalls that of hurried scribbles. The margins of the brushstrokes are not precise; they are rather rough blending with the white background.
