Steel Table is an excellent artwork realized in the 1970s and attributed to the Italian artist and designer Willy Rizzo (Naples,1928 - Paris, 2013). Willy Rizzo began his career in Paris, where he photographed stars and starlets for Ciné Mondial Movie, Point de Vue, and also Image du Monde. He covers the Nuremberg trials and produces large reports, particularly in Tunisia on the Mareth line. In 1947, the British agency Blackstar sent him to the United States to photograph what amazes him: from a distributor of pantyhose in Nylons to the drive-in of cinemas. But he prefers women, fashion and moves to Los Angeles. Max Corre, with whom he had collaborated on France Dimanche, calls him to announce that Jean Prouvost is creating a great magazine in Paris, so he returns to Paris and meets Hervé Mille. This is the beginning of the Paris Match adventure that still lasts. The reportage on Maria Callas inspired Hergé who in the work "les bijou de la Castafiore" creates his character: the photographer from Paris Flash, Walter Rizzoto, is him and his friend Walter Carone. In 1959, he becomes the artistic director of Marie Claire and collaborates with the main fashion magazines including Vogue.
