Beautiful fresh artwork representing the portrait of a woman in full Art-Nouveau style with a framework all around the figure. The figure is beautiful and is very interesting for the freshness of the colors and the softness of the shapes. The figure has black hair, red decorations and bright light blue flowers on the right.

This work was realized by Marcello Dudovich (Trieste, 1878 - Milan, 1962). He was an Italian publicist and painter. Together with Leonetto Cappiello, Adolf Hohenstein, Giovanni Maria Mataloni and Leopoldo Metlicovitz, he was one of the fathers of the modern Italian advertising poster. Marcello Dudovich was born in Trieste in 1878 from a Dalmatian family. He is the third of four brothers: Maria, Itala and Manlio. From Trieste he moved to Milan in 1897. In 1899, a prominent year in his artistic career, he was called to Bologna to work at the Graphic Factory of Edmondo Chappuis. The artist, while leaving Milan, continued his working relationship with the Ricordi Graphic Workshops. In 1905, Dudovich received an invitation from the publisher despite the initial enthusiasm, the Ligurian capital failed to offer him the ideal working environment. In the early thirties, with the development of aviation, the artist was called to Rome to create a series of wall frescoes, with the tempera technique, for the premises of the Ministry of Aeronautics. In 1937, Marcello went to Libya called by Italo Balbo, for a long stay and returned there in 1951.
