Head of Lion and Tiger

Head of Lion and Tiger   is a double-sided sheet with two amazing original charcoal drawings on ivory-colored paper, realized by the German artist  Wilhelm Lorenz , also known as  Willi Lorenz .

On the  recto , there is a charming drawing of a head of a lion looking straight at the observer, whilst on the  verso  there is the drawing of a tiger in the tall grass caught in its typical feline tension of when it is hunting and spotting the prey.

Realized with a sure and rapid touch and incredible realism, this modern artwork is in very good conditions, except for some little holes on the corners, light foxing on the margins, and a usual veil of graphite, common in charcoal drawings.

This is a perfect artwork for your sophisticated home decor in order to give it a touch of wildness and exoticism.

Wilhelm (Willi) Lorenz
 (Germany, 1901–1981)

Wilhelm Lorenz, also known as Willi Lorenz, was a German painter specialized in paintings of animals typically hunted as a game. His highly detailed oil paintings evoke the texture and movement of animals like boars, foxes, buffalos, and lions, depicted in their natural habitats and attitudes. His artworks resemble the works by Max Josef Hänger Lorenz. Willi Lorenz attended the Düsseldorf Academy of Art before moving to Cologne to start his artistic career.
