With this series the artist wants to temporarily abandon his iconic portraits of stars like Marilyn Monroe and Elvis. He thus decides to pay attention to unknown and ignored figures. By photographing drag queens in the New York night clubs, the artist elevates them and makes them his sources of inspiration.
