Il castello del sogno is an original modern rare book illustrated by Alberto Martini (Oderzo, 1876 - Milan, 1954) was an Italian draftsman, painter, engraver and illustrator, forerunner of the surrealist movement. Visiting the house-museum in his hometown, one gets the impression of being in front of a painter, but above all a "French" illustrator. He was a notable portrait painter. He reached the pinnacle of success with the theater on the water and was back in Paris in the twenties until 1934. Certain lithographs were very modern, above all The Kiss from 1915.
The book has been written by Enrico Annibale Butti (Milan, 1868 - Milan, 1912) was an Italian writer and playwright. From 1892 to 1897, he wrote psychological novels, characterized by the dualism of dream / reality and the difference of views between the ideals of the fathers and those of the new generation. These themes were taken up again in his plays, thanks to which he became famous and well-known in the Italian cultural sphere.
