The etching is a representation of the ancient proverb. On the lower margin, the title and the proverb.

Carlo Lasinio  (Treviso, 1759 - Pisa, 1838).

After studying painting at the Venice Academy, he devoted himself to engraving, which played an important role in his life (together with painting): he introduced engraving on multiple plates in Italy for color printing, the impression of watercolor.
