Carlo Bossoli (1815-1884) was a Swiss painter and scenographer naturalized Italian, well-known especially for his paintings celebrating the Risorgimento wars. 
Full of color and b/w illustrations, some of which (9) are doble-page, folded, hand-signed and dated by the artist.

Hardcover with title and name of the author in gold; illustrated dust jacket. Inside good conditions, except for a usual yellowing of the paper and foxing traces.
