This original print represents a series of sketches with various subjects, some of which are ironic and erotic.

Felicien Rops was born in Namur in 1833 and attended the University of Brussels. The Belgian artist achieved great fame in a small amount of time as a caricaturist. Rops was influenced by the artistic movements of Symbolism and Decadentism. For this reason, his artworks usually combine sex, death and satanic images all together.  He died in 1898.

This is a rare and peculiar print realized by a singular artist: a unique work and an ensemble of different works at the same time.
