Original oil on canvas.

Both paintings are in very good conditions.

Beautiful, elegant, refined pair of works on canvas realized by an expert master of the Lombard area between the end of the XVI and the beginning of the XVII century. The pair of paintings reflects the style of the artist for the traditional Italian Renaissance standars. The figure of the Virgin is represented in the typical iconography, with the opened book in her room, surprised by the coming of the angel and with the representation of the Holy Spirit (the dove on the upper left). The angel Gabriel is descending from the sky with the spread wings on the clouds. The figure is monumental and very well-refined and is represented with a Renaissance style, even if the paintings have a later datation and attribution. The paintings do not reflect a Mannerist style but rather a Renaissance style.
