Mario Bigetti

The artwork was realized by Mario Bigetti, a Roman contemporary artist, art merchant and connoisseur. He is also an expert of Old Master painting of the Roman scene of the XVII and the XVIII centuries. The old painting tradition is present in his contemporary works: the idea of the seams, indeed, aims at re-creating the original sense of painting. He starts from the idea of the end of painting (as Lucio Fontana did in his well-known cuts on the surface of his artworks), yet, with the seams and twine, he fosters a re-union and return of painting to its origins.
