Tancredi and Clorinda

Poignant Sculpture, in Excellent condition, created in hand-painted Wood with small bronze insert, by Sculptor Lorenzo Servalli to narrate, in the year 1998, the teaching of Forgiveness, through the moving Novella of Tancred and Clorinda, represented in the Supreme instant in which the Hero recognizes his Beloved only when, just after the fatal lunge, he reaches out toward Her, agonizing... only when he himself has now condemned her to die. But the Woman, Wonderful, asking for Forgiveness from the Lord, the origin of Existence, symbolized by the small bronze sphere at the base of the Work, is finally baptized by the rival-Lover, against the background of the Eternal Jerusalem, stylized in the Wood, ending her Existence in Peace.
